Timothy Joseph Connolly Sr.

OSWEGO – Timothy Joseph Connolly Sr., 70,  of Hannibal, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025.

Born in Oswego, Tim was the son of the late William and Maurine (O’Leary) Connolly.

Tim attended Oswego Schools. He worked at the Oswego County Airport for many years before becoming a Truck driver for several Syr. Rubbish removal companies. He served as the Cub Scout Leader of Pack 751. Tim enjoyed family get-togethers, eating, and talking.

Timothy is survived by his wife of 48 years Deborah (Deary) Connolly, sons Timothy Joseph Jr., Timothy William (Jenny Small), Shane (Jillian Blake), and a daughter Tara Connolly (Gascoyne), beloved grandchildren Calexander Connolly, Seamus Connolly, McKinley Gascoyne, and Merritt Gascoyne. He also leaves behind siblings Patrick Connolly, Debra Waters, Mildred (James) Bowers, and Megan Connolly.

In addition to his parents, Timothy is preceded in death by siblings Jack Askew, Sheila Brown, and Nora Smith.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street.  The family will hold a Celebration of Life this summer at his home. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
