OSWEGO, NY – Beverly E. Southgate, 82, a resident of Syracuse and a former resident of Oswego passed away Wednesday morning January 9, 2013, at the Van Duyn Home in Syracuse.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Florence Brown Bedbury.
Mrs. Southgate was the widow of Charles E. Southgate who died in 1999.
She had been employed at McDonalds Fashions, Super Duper and retired from Top’s Supermarket.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (Mark) Stafford of Syracuse and Tamera (Lyle) Young of Fulton; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday 4 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. prior to the service.
Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
