Denise A. Sanford, 50

OSWEGO, NY – Denise A. Sanford, 50, a resident of Scriba, passed away Thursday February 26, 2015, at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of Lorinda (McFarland) O’Connor and the late Thomas O’Connor.
She was a graduate of Hannibal High School in 1982 and SUNY Canton ATC in 1984.
Denise was a sales associate for Liberty Mutual Insurance for more than 18 years.
She attended Our Lady of The Rosary Church in Hannibal.
She loved gardening, boating and vacationing in Sanibel, Fla.
Surviving are her loving husband of 20 years, Michael Sanford; her mother, Lorinda O’Connor; son, Jon Sanford of North Carolina; brother, Richard (Tammy) O’Connor of Mississippi; sister, Ann Hill of Oswego; nieces and nephews, Jeff, Tracey, Brianna, and Logan; aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be held 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Church.
Spring Burial will be in Hannibal Village Cemetery.
