Doris E. Georgeff, 80 and a resident of 2152 County Route 8 in the Town of Minetto passed away Saturday evening surrounded by her family.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Lansing and Rhea Murray James. She was the widow of the late George A. Georgeff, Sr.
Mrs. Georgeff was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
She was well known as a bus driver for many years and had been employed by Laws, Goulds and Gibson bus companies. More recently she drove bus for the Phoenix School District and ended her career with the Oswego City School District.
She is survived by four daughters Darlene (Victor) Yerdon of Phoenix, Christine Sharkey of Minetto, Sharon (John) Burger of Oswego, Sandra Georgeff of Minetto, one brother Harold James of Phoenix, two sisters Beatrice (George) Curran of Oswego, Harriett Stevens of Phoenix, AZ, ten grandchildren including Alexandra Georgeff with whom she resided, Kristy Tisdale, Lyle Sharkey, Lance Yerdon, Nici Lange, Tracy Waldron, Heidi Sharkey, Jamie Sharkey, Chuck Burger, Eric Burger, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Georgeff was predeceased by one son George Georgeff, Jr., three brothers Thomas James, Charles James and Stephen James.
Funeral services will be 9:00AM Friday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-8PM at the funeral home.
