Doug Merrill, 68

Doug Merrill, 68, of Minetto, passed away February 25, 2011.

Born in Batavia, he was the son of Doris (Mengs) Merrill of Batavia and the late Gordon Merrill.

Doug was the owner and operator of C.P.S. Electric for over 33 years and had a true passion for his work. He was previously employed at Alcan.

He had many hobbies and interests including his joy for sail fishing in the Florida Keys and riding his John Deere around on his property. He also loved his pets very much. He was a loving husband and very generous to those he knew.

Surviving, besides his mother, are his wife, Denise (Tesoriero) Merrill; his three daughters, Shelley Ivester of SC, Robin Merrill, and Amy Ryckman of SC; his brother, Ron (Cathy) Merrill of FL, and five grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held 3-7p.m. Monday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.

Funeral Services will be held at 7p.m. Monday, following the calling hours.

Spring burial will be in Minetto Cemetery.
