Frederick L. Stevens, Sr., a resident of Wolcott, passed away January 30th, 2011 at his home.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Ira and Ruby (Buella) Stevens.
Frederick was a Laborer for the Labor Local #214.
He was a US Army Veteran and was a life time member with VFW Fulton #569.
Fred enjoyed woodcarving and yard sales.
Surviving are his three daughters, Victoria Weinblatt; Pam Winningham; Shelly Orme all of Tennessee; two sons, Fred Jr. of Oswego; James Stevens of Tennessee; his friend, Evelyn Brooks of Wolcott; his grandchildren, Jesse Lenard, Brian Lenard, Michael Lenard, Tommy Weinblatt, Essien Weinblatt, Angilana Stevens, Cashley Lenard, Dax Taylor, Kayla Trail, Derek Trail, Miranda Stevens, Austin Stevens, Joey Stevens, Brandon Stevens; and three great grandchildren, Rubi Lenard, Mattie Lenard, Hudson Lenard.
He was predeceased by his son, Danny Stevens, a brother, Sidney Stevens, two sisters, Bessie and Ruby Merttes.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Nelson Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 10a.m. to 11a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home, 11 West Albany St, Oswego.
