Gladys G. (Frank) DiMiero, 95

OSWEGO, NY – Gladys G. (Frank) DiMiero, 95, of Oswego, died Tuesday August 30, 2016, at St. Luke Health Care Facility.

She was born June 8, 1921, and was the daughter of Edward and Pauline (Voll) Frank.

Mrs. DiMiero was a 1939 graduate of Oswego High School and Rochester Business Institute.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the Housing Office of SUNY Oswego.

She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and its Mary Circle and a member of the Church Women United.

She enjoyed her volunteer work with RSVP and knitted more than 2,200 infant hats for Oswego Hospital.

Mrs. DiMiero also enjoyed playing golf, crafts, her church activities and all special times spent with family and friends.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Phyllis DiMiero of Lockport; her son, Paul DiMiero (Kathleen) of Fairport; grandson, Joseph DiMiero (Erin) of San Anselmo, Calif.; and Thomas DiMiero (Jennifer) of Harker Heights, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Jane, William, Cameron and Summer; sister-in-law, Angie DiMiero; several nieces and nephews; two special friends, Louanne Hogan and Jaci Ryan; and her cherished cousin, Ellie Sereno.

She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas DiMiero, in 1987; her brother, Edward Frank; her sisters, Dorothy and Virginia Frank; along with her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. – noon Saturday, September 17, with services to follow at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego, NY.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the loving caregivers at St. Luke, especially the entire staff on the fifth floor.
