Gloria Lyons, 85

OSWEGO, NY – Gloria Lyons, 85, a resident of Oswego, passed away Monday June 22, 2015, at Upstate Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Fulton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Velma (Simons) Howard.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and visits to the casino.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
Surviving are two sons, Kevin (Debbie) Lyons of Colorado Springs and Karlton “Birdie” Lyons (Sally Van Buren) of Oswego; a brother, Malcolm (Rose) Simons of Largo, Fla.; three grandchildren, Sara Lyons, Brad (Autumn) Lyons and Shelby Lyons (Gordon Harrison); a great-granddaughter, Sylvie Harrison; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Howard E. Lyons; and siblings, Howard Simons, Merlin Simons and Fay Simons.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery.
