OSWEGO, NY – Joseph P. Coniski, 64, a resident of Erie Street, Oswego, passed away Sunday April 15, 2012.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Stephen and Sophie (Lupa) Coniski.
He was a graduate of Oswego Catholic High School graduate of 1966.

He was employed as a mechanic foreman for NRG for more than 43 years, retiring in 2010.
He previously volunteered as an instructor for the Syracuse Diocese Family Life Office and also volunteered for Harborfest and enjoyed listening and going to polka dances.
He was an active member at St. Stephen’s Church.
Surviving are his wife, Judy (Kotas) Coniski; two daughters, Carrie Coniski and Sarah Coniski both of Oswego; a son, Colin (Jineane) Coniski, of Oswego; three sisters, Theresa (John) Manning, Regina (Joseph) Doviak and Helen (Mike) Sorzickas, all of Oswego; a grandchild, Joscelyn Coniski; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Coniski.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
Donations can be made to St. Stephen’s Church, 138 Niagara St. or Trinity Catholic School, 115 E. Fifth St. Oswego.
