OSWEGO, NY – Lucille T. Leavens, 58, a resident of the Middle Road in the town of Scriba, died Friday August 12, 2016, at Oswego Hospital.
Lucille was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late James L. Mellon Sr., and Laurietta (Seeley) Walker.
She was a life resident of the area.
At one time, she was employed with the Alcan Corp. in Oswego.
She was the wife of the late Harold Leavens.
She is survived by her son, John James Leavens; four brothers, James Mellon Jr. of Oswego, Michael Mellon of Fulton, Lucian Mellon of Martville and Peter Mellon of Martville; four sisters, Laurietta Falise of Delaware, Januita Carroll of Fulton, Rena Geer of Iowa and Kathleen Powell of California; the father of her son, with whom she resided, John Victory of Scriba; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Jessica L. Haines.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Peck’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be private.
Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego.
