OSWEGO, NY – Manuel N. Guzman Sr., 76, a resident of Southwest Ninth Street, passed away Monday January 20, 2014, at University Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Luis E. Berrigs Guzman and Eduvigis Fletcha Rivera.

He worked for Fulton Iron and Steel and Papertronics.
He was self-employed for GM Construction.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He loved to spend time with his family and work on houses.
He was a Yankee and NASCAR fan and was a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Surviving are five daughters, Isabelle (Rick) Clark, Mildred Barker, Judy (Edward) Wallace, Faye (Keith) Williams and Mindy Guzman; two sons, Manuel Guzman Jr. and Roberto Guzman; a brother, William (Nida) Flecha Guzman; two sisters, Iris Flecha Guzman and Gladys Flecha Guzman; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
Funeral services and burial at Rural Cemetery will be held in the spring.
