Margreta Beatrice Liebenauer, 74

OSWEGO, NY – Margreta Beatrice Liebenauer, 74, died in her home Monday June 24, 2013, from complications with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was the daughter of the late Amos and Elizabeth (DeVree) Palmer of Middleville, Mich.

Margreta earned her RN from Mercy School of Nursing in Grand Rapids, Mich., and her BSN and MSN from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

She taught for a number of years in the BOCES LPN program in Mexico, NY.

Margreta was a member of the P.E.O., the Philanthropic and Educational Organization, and the past president of the Oswego Town Historical Society.

She enjoyed travelling extensively with her husband in France and other Western European countries as well as in the United States.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; her son, Eric and his wife, Tammy of Georgetown, Kentuck, and their two children, Bryce and Brennan; her daughter, Kara Liebenauer of Owensboro, Kentucky, and her daughters, Illa, Leann and Ryan; her twin sister, Bernice Wood of Lexington, Kentucky, sister, Enid (Robert) Adkin of Middleville, Mich.; and brother, Fred (Margret) Palmer of Hastings, Mich. and Arcadia, Fla.

Arrangements will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or Oswego County Hospice in her memory are suggested.
