OSWEGO, NY – Martin Crucitti, 96, a resident of Walnut Street in Oswego, passed away Tuesday April 9, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Santo and Angelina (Migoli) Crucitti.

Martin was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and served in the European Theater.
He was a recipient of the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars and three Purple Hearts.
Martin was a sheet metal worker for J and K, Northern Steel, and Sheet Metal Workers’ 158.
He was a hall of fame inductee racecar owner, builder and driver of #11.
He enjoyed golfing, hunting, the outdoors, and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia (Smith) Crucitti; one daughter, Angela (Angelo) Ferlito of Oswego; four sons, Thomas (Lois) of Connecticut, Michael (Carol) of Oswego, Martin “Rusty” S. (Linda) of North Carolina and Rocky (Sandra) of Oswego; one sister, Carmela Sverchek of Connecticut; 15 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Kenneth; and three sisters, Frances Kostek, Mary Rose Magnero and Rose Parkington; and his godmother, Archangela Bria.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, at the Nelson funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
Services and burial will be held privately in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
