OSWEGO, NY – Mildred M. Verdoliva, 86, a former resident of West Seventh Street in Oswego, passed away Wednesday February 4, 2015, at Seneca Hill Manor.
Mrs. Verdoliva was born in the town of Oswego, the daughter of the late John and Marie (Weskie) Hoffman.
She was a life resident of the area.
She was a graduate of Oswego High School.
She had formerly worked for the Oswego County Board of Elections, the Frank G. Wells clothing store and the Boy Scouts of America.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Oswego.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Francis Verdoliva Sr. of Oswego; two daughters, Mary (Mark) Erschen of Dubuque, Iowa, and Suzanne (Paul) Weber of Lacrosse, Wisconsin; a son, Francis (Noreen) Verdoliva Jr. of Mexico; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Michael, Daniel, Gigi, Gabe and Maria; and four cousins, Margie Powers of Huntington Beach, Calif., Donna Prue of Port Richey, Fla., Alberta Ambuskey of Fulton and Elaine MacKelvey of Erie, Pa.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, in St. Joseph’s Church.
Interment will be in All Saints’ Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St.
