OSWEGO, NY – Stephen Richard Quesnell, 51, a resident of Oswego, passed away at home on Wednesday February 25, 2015.

Steve was born in Oswego and was a longtime resident of this community.
He enlisted in 1982 and served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force for nine years.
He was a veteran and proud to have served in Desert Storm.
Steve was a devoted employee of the Oswego City School District for 20 years.
He was an active member of the CSEA local 838 Unit 8020 where he served as president for many years.
Steve will be remembered by his family and friends as being an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and boating.
Steve had a passion for machinery and craftsmanship.
Steve was also a member of the VFW and the 35 Club.
Steve was a devoted husband and father.
He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia (Boyzuck) Quesnell; and his brother, Michael Quesnell.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Pamela (Samson) Quesnell; his wonderful daughter, Alexa Rae Quesnell; his father, Richard (Linda) Quesnell; brother-in-law, Brian (Ronda) Samson; sister-in-law, Harumi Quesnell.
He is also survived by his seven nieces and nephews, Anna, Anthony, Brittany, Cynthia, Jeremy, Madison and Michael; two great-nieces; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and the special bond he held with Brent Fosco and Jenna (Rob) Vaccarelli.
Calling hours will be held 3-6 p.m. Monday with a memorial service to follow at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
