PHOENIX, NY – Thomas E. Mead Jr., 62, of Main Street, Phoenix, NY, passed away at his home on Monday Oct. 7, 2013.
He was born in Seneca Falls, NY, to his late parents, Fern Mary (Rosecrans) and Thomas E. Mead Sr. on Nov. 12, 1950.

He was a graduate of Seneca Falls High School and a graduate of Finger Lakes Community College.
He was a U.S. Army veteran from 1970-72, serving in Vietnam.
Tom was a former employee of Gypsum Express, Ltd., Baldwinsville, as a dispatcher.
He was a member of the Syracuse Drum & Bugle Corps, where he played the drums.
He was predeceased by his brother, John M. Mead.
Surviving are his loving wife of 30 years, Laura L. (Clayton) Mead; two daughters, Kristin (Jair) Green and Helen Mead; two step-sons, Joseph (Kimberly) Edick and Noah (Summer) Edick; eight grandchildren, Suzanna, Emilee, Orin, Joseph, Gracie, Liam, Grayson and Jeremiah; five Mead brothers and their spouses, James (Holly), Michael (Sherry), Craig (Harriet), David (Linda) and Larry (Ruth); three sisters, Jane Rossman, Gail Mead and Susan (Steve) Hazard; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
