OSWEGO, NY – Timothy Patrick Kennedy, 63, of Oswego passed away Monday morning November 17, 2014, at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Dannemora, NY, he was the son of the late Edgar and Celeste (Ryan) Kennedy, and graduated from Plattsburgh State.
Timothy was a sixth grade teacher with the Hannibal Central School District for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Margaret S. Cavanaugh; son, Michael (Jennifer) of Oswego; daughters, Kathleen of Los Angeles and Meghan of Charlotte; grandson, Daniel of Oswego; sisters, Margaret and Nancy of Lancaster and Mary-Ellen of Delmar; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends, some lifelong, some new, all cherished.
Tim led an active life within the school system, volunteering his time for after-school activities, including tutoring and sports.
His quick wit and sense of humor, along with his trivia knowledge, entertained his friends and family and made him a joy to be around, causing many people to gravitate towards him.
TK was a good man.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St. Oswego.
