Vivian L. Cummings, 62, a resident of Hempstead, Texas, passed away Thursday, at the Oswego Hospital.
Vivian was born in Gettysburg, PA, the daughter of the late Elijah and Mary Louise (Roop) Jenkins. She lived in the Oswego area for many years, before moving to Texas about 15 years ago.
She had been employed as a data processor with the Seismic Exchange Co. in Houston, TX.
Vivian was a woman of many interests, including gardening, crossword puzzles, motorcycling, and traveling, but her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Cummings of Hempstead, TX; a daughter, Mary Haines of Scriba; a son, John Griffin of Fulton; a sister, Debora Sansom of Houston, TX; 2 step-sons, Scott Cummings and Robert Cummings, both of Mexico, NY; several grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Woolson; and a sister, Virginia Martinez.
Services will be held at 7:00pm Sunday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in North Volney Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
