Arthur W. Barker 89; of Fulton died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born in Strood, England to the late William T. and Elizabeth (Sayer) Barker. Mr. Barker has been a resident of Fulton since 1972. He served in the Royal Air force, England. He was past employed with the Canadian National Railway for 21 years and the Volney School District for 14 years as a custodian. Mr. Barker was a member of the Fulton Polish Home, and the Granby and Fulton RSVP.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Eva Barker, his children Steven Rauch and Nancy McDougal and his sister Alice Smith.
Mr. Barker is survived by his son Gerald Rauch of Fulton, his brother Thomas Barker of England grandchildren: Jerre (Amy) Rauch and Heidi (Brian) Webb, great grandchildren: Quinn and Gabriel Webb, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Jeffrey Knox. Burial will be held in Minetto Cemetery, Minetto, NY. Calling hours will be conducted at 9:00-10:00 AM Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
