FULTON, NY – Beatrice “Betty E. Finocchiaro, 70, of Fulton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 10, 2018, surrounded by her family at home after her courageous 4 ½-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Betty was born in Fulton to the late James F.A. and Viola (Drinkwine) Brannan.
She remained a resident of Fulton for most of her life.
Betty worked as a Registered Nurse for 49 years.
She first began her career in Manhattan at Lenox Hill and continued in North Carolina where she began a Lamaze Charter Group and a La Leche League.
Betty retired from A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital where she worked in the ICU for 30 years and her remaining 10 years in Ambulatory Surgery.
Betty was a past member of the Holy Family Parish Council and was a founding couple of the Holy Family Marriage Encounter One/One.
Betty was considered the heart of the family.
The one who always promoted family and friends to gather and spend time together.
A testament to her fellowship was how so many friends and family came forward voluntarily to help the family to take shifts to help the family with home care during her last days and precious moments.
Betty was predeceased by her grandmother, “Mim” Marie LaPorte Brannan.
She was a wonderful high school best friend who became the beloved wife to John “Jack” Finocchiaro of Fulton for 38 years, and a loving mom to their three children: Kathryn “Katie” (Alan) Schnall of Fulton, Sarah (John McGraw) Finocchiaro of Fulton, and Laura “Lola” (Hollie MacLennan) Finocchiaro of Boston, Mass.; step-mother, Carol-Anne Charbonneau of Spith Carolina; two siblings: James (Christine) Brannan of Fulton and Robert (Cheryl) Brannan of Marion, NY; and grandma “Mim” to Dakota, Brayden, Ethan, Juliet, Lena and Nora; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Guy Baccaro.
Calling hours will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
