Connie Grosvent, 73

FULTON, NY – Connie Grosvent, 73, of Fulton, died peacefully Monday July 26, 2010, at home.

She was born to the late Vito and Mary (Ferro) Clavelli in Fulton and she remained a life resident of Fulton.

Mrs. Grosvent worked for Montgomery Wards, and helped staff Dr. Brown’s private office before retiring in 1999 from Sealright as a packer.

Post retirement Mrs. Grosvent worked as a lunch lady and door monitor with the Fulton Consolidated School System/Granby Elementary.

She was a past member of the Catholic Daughters.

Mrs. Grosvent enjoyed volunteering with the Board of Elections.

She was the United Way chairman for 10 years and worked as the snack bar hostess on weekends at Oswego Hospital.

She enjoyed being an active grandmother, visiting the casinos, and spending time with her best companion Aunt Anne Lalik.

Mrs. Grosvent was predeceased by her husband, Richard B. Grosvent; and siblings, Patricia Elkin, Anthony and Frank Clavelli.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Candida) Grosvent of Fulton; brother, Dominic (Rita) Clavelli of Oswego; sister, Mary Jane (John) McGraw of Fulton; five grandchildren, Joshua (Lindsay) Grosvent, Joseph (Amber Bartow) Grosvent, Trevor, Christopher and Marguerite Grosvent; and great-grandchild, Lena Grosvent.

Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Friday in the Sugar Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Stephenson officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be conducted 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St., Fulton. missing or outdated ad config
