Edward Devendorf, 79

FULTON, NY – Edward F. Devendorf, 79, of Fulton, died Thursday December 27, 2012, at Oswego Hospital, Oswego.

He was born in Syracuse, NY, to the late Earl and Cordelia (Campbell) Devendorf.

He has been a lifetime resident of Fulton.

Mr. Devendorf was a United States veteran having served in the Army as a private first class from 1953 to 1955.

He was a painter with the Painters’ Local #38, Oswego.

He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Devendorf, in 1997; twin brother, Theodore Devendorf, in 2005; and his daughter, Shelley Horning, in 2012.

Mr. Devendorf is survived by his children: Lance Devendorf of Fulton, Patricia (David) Kuhl of Scriba, Greg (Kelly) Devendorf of Carthage, NY, Patrick (Rebecca) Devendorf of Fulton and Tyrone McDougal of Oswego; his longtime companion, Grace Gault of Fulton; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held in the spring at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton, with Rev. Mark Kimpland officiating.

Calling hours will be conducted 3 to 6 p.m. Monday in the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
