Edward L. Casler

FULTON – March 4, 2023, Edward L. Casler, 56; of Fulton passed away Saturday at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Syracuse, NY after a short illness.

Mr. Casler was born in Fulton, NY to the late Irving and Mary (Johnson) Casler Sr.  He has been a longtime resident of Fulton.  Mr. Casler was past employed with Moniraes, Pennellville, NY and RFH’s, Phoenix, NY.  Ed had been working for over a decade as the Chef with Tavern on the Lock, Fulton, NY.  Mr. Casler was a proud advocate for Sobriety and was proud of his continued success and work as a 4 year chip holder.  He was known to be a supportive sponsor for many AA members and usually ended a conversation with these words of compassion and inspiration, “Stay on the path my friend.  It gets easier.”  Mr. Casler loved to spend time with his grandchildren, go camping and play golf.

He is survived by his wife Ann Casler of Fulton, their daughter:  Mackenzie (Joey Phelps) Casler of Fulton; his step-children:  Amy Rellos and Chad Berrus both of Hannibal, NY; his sister Lori Casler of Fulton, sister-in-law:  Georgianna Woodworth of Fulton, NY; and his beloved grandchildren:  Kylie and Kynslee and several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ed was pre-deceased by his siblings: Irving Casler Jr., and Sharon Casler.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be conducted in the spring at Peck Cemetery, Scriba, NY.
