Helen E. Shuman, 84

OSWEGO, NY – Helen E. Shuman, 84, of Oswego, died Monday February 22, 2016, in Oswego Hospital.

Mrs. Shuman was born in the town of Sterling, the daughter of the late Seneca and Catherine Wayman.

She was a loving mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Shuman was predeceased by her husband, Edward Shuman, in 2003.

She is survived by her sons, Stanley (Beth) Walker of Oswego and Jamie (Teresa) Walker of Illinois; her grandchildren, Chad (Sheri) Walker of Kansas, Shawn (Meaghan) Walker of Canada, Amy Walker of Rochester, Kali Walker of Colorado and Ryan Walker of Ohio; two step-grandchildren, Dustin (Heather) Freyer of Iowa and Brittany Freyer of Iowa; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Private burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego, NY 13126.
