James L. Bechtel, 51

OSWEGO, NY – James L. Bechtel, 51, of Scriba, died Friday January 1, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Oswego, the son of Virginia Bechtel of Oswego and the late Paul H. Bechtel Sr.
Mr. Bechtel was a past member of the Scriba Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his son, James. R. Bechtel; and his mother, Rochelle Lewis both of Parish; his brothers, Paul (Renee) Bechtel Jr. of Florida, Robert (Jolene) Bechtel of Mexico, his fiancée, Karen Abbott and her son, Justin Abbott both of Scriba; and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of James’ life will be Saturday from noon until 3 p.m. at the Scriba Fire Hall.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
