FULTON, NY – John Semeraro, 59, passed away suddenly at the Oswego Hospital on Friday May 19, 2017.

He was born in Fulton, the son of the late Quirico and Mary (Clinton) Semeraro and he had been a lifetime resident of Fulton.
John was a 35-year employee of Novelis, Scriba, NY, where he worked as a specialist.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus, (ROC) Ride Oswego County Group and he loved sailing with his family.
He thoroughly enjoyed teaching his children the skills necessary for boating and he passed on his love of being on the water.
John also had a passion for motorcycles especially his Harley Davidson.
John could always be described as a true friend; especially his childhood friends he grew up with and they remained close friends into adulthood.
He also had a special love for his “Family Van,” which was also used as the “Vacation Van.”
He always felt it was necessary to place the Harley Davidson Wings decal on every motorized vehicle he and his wife purchased.
John was an Old Rock Music enthusiast.
John is survived by his wife of 27 years, Brenda Semeraro of Fulton; two children: Alexis Semeraro and Anthony Semeraro both of Washington; step-mother, Vivian Semeraro of Fulton; mother-in-law, Gloria White of Fulton; his cousin, Ronald Briggs; and several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
John was predeceased by his brother, Richard Semeraro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 10, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Canorro.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
Calling hours will be held Friday, June 9, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association 2 Clinton Square Site 305, Syracuse, NY 13202.
