FULTON, NY – Joseph A. LiVoti Sr., 87, of Fulton, died Monday September 22, 2014, at Michaud Residential Health Services, Fulton.
He was born in Fulton to the late Agnes Mary (Miner) and Antonino LiVoti.
Mr. LiVoti remained a lifetime resident of Fulton.
He graduated from Fulton High School and Rider College, Trenton, NJ.
On October 11, 1952, Joseph married Lois M. Revolinsky at St. Stanilaus Church, Trenton, NJ.
He was a United States veteran having served in the Navy as a coxswain during World War II.
Mr. LiVoti worked in the accounting department at Sealright Co., Fulton, before retiring from Alcan, Scriba, NY, after 19 years with their accounting department.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #254, Fulton, the Fulton American Legion and the Fulton Booster Club.
Mr. LiVoti is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois LiVoti of Fulton; seven children: Joseph (Celeste) LiVoti Jr. of Mexico, Anthony (Mary Catherine) LiVoti of Fulton, Francis (Evelyn) LiVoti of Fulton, Mary Ann (Bruce) McGregor of Fulton, Paul (Margaret) LiVoti of Oswego, John (Sue) LiVoti of Florida and Catherine (James) LiVoti Rice of Fulton; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. LiVoti was predeceased by his sisters: Elizabeth LiVoti Nettle and Rosaria LiVoti Cesario.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Canorro.
Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
Calling hours will be conducted from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to St. Joseph’s Foundation Office C/O Cardiac Unit 973 James St. Suite 250, Syracuse, NY, 13203 or Catholic Charities of Oswego County 365 W. First St. Fulton, NY 13069.
