Michael D. Abbott

OSWEGO – Michael D. Abbott, 55, of Oswego, died Friday December 7, 2024 peacefully in the Oswego Hospital.

Michael was born in Oswego, son of the late Woodard and Betty (Hammond) Abbott, where he remained a lifetime resident. He was a past employee of Nestle’s Co., Fulton and the Oswego Walmart. He enjoyed all types of music and sports especially baseball, he also enjoyed fishing and boating. Michael had a wonderful sense of humor, and was a very active Grandpa with all his grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his wife of 33 years Sandra Abbott of Oswego, and their children Elizabeth (Timothy) Currier of Oswego, and Mandy (Kenny) LaBreck of Oswego; his grandchildren Elisabella, Isabella, Carter, Timothy Jr., Arian, Sylvia, Oliver, and Olivia. He is also survived by his siblings Tracy (Dan) Ward of Oswego, Bettyann Bickford of Hannibal, Jim Abbott of Hannibal, and Woodard Abbott of Oswego.

Calling hours for Michael will be Saturday December 14, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4^th. St. Oswego.
