OSWEGO, NY – Neil J. Samson, 75, of Oswego, died Tuesday June 9, 2015, in the VA Medical Center, Syracuse, after a short illness.

He was born in Fulton, the son of the late Harold and Flora Samson Sr.
Neil worked for the Teamsters’ Local # 317 at the Steam Station in Oswego.
Later, he worked at Master Bedroom, Fulton, until his retirement.
He served in the United States Army from 1963 until 1965.
Neil enjoyed woodworking and was always puttering around with a project.
In addition to his parents, Neil was predeceased by his brother, James Samson; and stepson, Ronald Gulliver.
He is survived by his significant other, Karen Borek of Fulton; son, Kevin L. Holliday of Oswego; stepchildren, Kathy Johnson of Oswego, Robert (Barbara) Gulliver of Phoenix and Dale (Chrissy) Gulliver of Oswego; grandchildren, Heather, Brittany and Jordan Holliday.
He is also survived by his siblings, Harold (Rose) Samson of California, Donald (Almeda) Samson of Fulton, Howard (Joan) Samson of Fulton, Ellen Woodruff of Fulton, Edna Taylor of Arizona and Shirley (Rick) Hall of California; and 21 nieces and nephews.
Neil’s wishes were to have private services and no calling hours.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
