Paul E. Taylor, 81, of Oswego died Friday May 23, 2025 in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in the Town of Ira, NY and lived in Syracuse, for many years before moving to Oswego. He earned his Master’s Degree in Art Education, and taught at West Genesee Central School District until his retirement July 1, 2003. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, listening to music, being outdoors gardening, or going canoeing.
Mr. Taylor is predeceased by his first wife N. June Taylor (Maser), and his sisters Gail, and Gloria.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Pastore of Oswego, his son Michael (Elizabeth) Taylor of Clay, stepchildren Kurt Miles, and Craig (Stephanie) Miles of NC. Mr. Taylor is also survived by his grandchildren Vanessa, Jeremy, and step grandchildren Bregan, William, Jacob, Henry, and his siblings Margaret, Michael, and Richard.
Burial at Our Lady of Peace, and funeral services will be private.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego.
