FULTON, NY – Salvatore Joseph Lanzafame, 84, of Fulton, peacefully passed away Tuesday October 24, 2017, at home with his family by his side.

He was born in Fulton to the late Orazio and Catherine (Cincotta) Lanzafame.

Sal had been a lifetime resident of Fulton.

He was a graduate of Union Albany School of Pharmacy.

Sal owned and operated Hargraves Pharmacy, Fulton, for 60 years and in more recent years he had worked with his son, Robert, who is continuing the family business.

He enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Sal was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Sypher; and sibings: Thomas Lanzafame and Lucia Champagne.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Lanzafame of Fulton; their five children: Cathy (James) Laurenzo of Syracuse, NY, Barbara (Dr. Robert) Cupelo of Manilius, NY, Mary (John) Simone of Syracuse, NY, Robert (Grace Ann) Lanzafame of Liverpool, NY, and Joanne (Vincent) Marino of Jamesville, NY; son-in-law, David Sypher of Fayetteville, NY; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, in Holy Trinity Church, Fulton, where a Mass of Christan Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Michael Carmola.

Entombment will be in held Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.

Calling hours will be held privately.
