OSWEGO – Stacie Garafolo, 48, died Tuesday October 21, 2025, with her family by her side at Seneca Hill Manor after a courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease.
Stacie was born in Oswego the daughter of Barbara Green of SC, and the late Robert Howland. Stacie graduated from SUNY Oswego with her master’s degree in Childhood Education. She was a former member of AmeriCorp, and enjoyed playing bunco, she would help and volunteer wherever she was needed. She loved spending time raising her children, going to watching them at their musicals and sporting events, they were her true pride and joy, she was so very proud of them. Stacie was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Stacie leaves behind her children Nicholas Garafolo of Oswego, Olivia Garafolo of Oswego, husband Joseph Garafolo of Oswego, mother Barbara Green, and stepmother Sue Howland.
She is also survived by her brothers Bob (Lenore) Howland of Oswego, Nathan (Lindsay Deyo) Green of Jordan, Kevin (Amanda) Howland of Baldwinsville, and several nieces, nephews, cousin, aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.
Services will follow Friday 11:00 at the funeral home with Rev John Leo Oduor.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Stacie’s name to Huntington’s Disease Foundation.
