FULTON – April 16, 2026, Timothy C. Callen, 68; passed away Thursday, April 16th, 2026; leaving behind a legacy of deep love for his family and an enduring spirit.
As a child Tim enjoyed the company of his brothers and numerous friends on the playgrounds, ballfields and backyards of Fulton, NY, where he was born. His teenage years were marked by the onset of schizophrenia, beginning a turbulent journey through the profound challenges of living with a complex mental illness. Tim’s life experiences were far beyond what many could handle. Later in life, Tim enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, attending races at Oswego Speedway with his Dad, watching NASCAR and Women’s college basketball on television and meeting new friends. Tim’s family loves him very much and are really proud of him.
He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Elizabeth B. Callen; he is survived by his siblings, Kathleen (Dennis) McCollum of Oswego, Michael Callen of San Antonio, TX; Mary Anne (Daniel) Baum of Sterling, NY Patricia (John) Harrington of Syracuse, NY; John Callen of Milwaukee, WI; and Thomas (Kristin) Callen of Rochester, NY. Tim is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews who will miss his vibrant presence.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10 AM Thursday, April 23rd, at Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Scardella.
There will be no Calling Hours. Burial will be conducted privately.
In lieu of flowers, his siblings ask that contributions be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Syracuse, 917 Avery Ave,, Syracuse, NY 13204.
They also encourage you to educate yourself about mental illness and approach it without shame or stigma.
