Richard F. Miller

Richard F. Miller, 66, of Fulton, died Friday at home after a long illness.

Born in Fulton he was a life resident. Dick had been employed by Oswego County Opportunities as a bus driver. Dick was an accomplished bowler, having bowled six 300 games, competing in many leagues and he had twice won the Fulton Bowling Association City Tournament. He was inducted into the Fulton Bowling Hall of Fame on June 17, 1998. Dick enjoyed showing his 1949 truck at many local car shows. Dick was also an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and racing. He was a member of Grace Bible Baptist Church in Fulton.

Dick was predeceased by his step-father, Robert Woodruff and by his brother Jack Miller.

Surviving: his wife of 46 years, Betty Miller; daughter, Laurie (John) Szymanski of Fulton; son, Rick Miller of Fulton; mother, Vivian Woodruff of Fulton; three granddaughters, Danielle Mills, Cindy Mills and Tatum Miller; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Volney. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street. Contributions may be made to Friends of Oswego County Hospice, P.O. Box 102, Oswego, 13126 or to Grace Bible Baptist Church, 21 Flood Drive, Fulton, 13069.
