Richard L. Proctor, Sr., 76, of Fulton died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born in Oswego, the sone of the late Frederick and Louise Conley Proctor. He was retired from the Fulton City School District as a custodian in the Volney Elementary School. He was a veteran of the U.S. ARmy and a member of the Phoenix American Legion.
He was an entertainer in the Central New York area, playing with the bands Family Tradition and The Silvertones.
Survivors: Two sons, Kent Proctor of Lakeland and Richard Proctor of Palermo; two brothers, Frederick Proctor of Illinois and William Wallace of Bridgeport; a sister, Shirley Bellamo of Oswego.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at the Upson Corners Cemetery, Palermo. Arrangements are in charge of Harter Funeral Home, Mexico, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Richard L. Proctor, Jr., 178 Winks Rd., Fulton, NY, 13069.
