Schmitz, Sister Virginia, SSJ (Sister Loyola)

Pittsford, NY, February 7, 2021; Survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her Sisters in the community. Sister Virginia taught in a variety of schools in Rochester. She then went to Brazil where she was a Missionary and Pastoral Agent. Upon her return to the United States, Sr. Virginia was a Pastoral Assistant in Oswego. She also was a Chaplain at Strong Memorial Hospital for 16 years.
Due to the Monroe County Health Department’s Coronavirus restrictions, services for Sister Virginia will be private to Motherhouse residents only.
A memorial service where all will be welcome will be held at a later date.
