Wanda T. Stobnicke, 96, of 131 West First St. Oswego, passed away August 23, 2009 at Pontiac Health and Rehabilitation.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ursula (Sdeb) Kielb.
She was employed as a waitress at the Dubois Hotel and Pontiac Hotel.
Wanda was an avid gardner, a member of the Oswego Senior Citizens and the Oswego Town Senior Citizens. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Church and a member of its Women’s Club and Rosary Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Theresa (Gerald) McManus of Oswego and Susan Stevenson of Poughskee, NY; two grandchildren, Gerald McManus Jr. and Patrick McManus; two great grandchildren, Conor and Jack McManus.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley N. Stobnicke and eight brothers.
Funeral Services will be held 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 5-7p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St. Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Organ Fund, 240 West First St. Oswego.
