FULTON, NY – Until September 1, one phone call to Oswego County Opportunities Transportation Services provided Medicaid recipients throughout Oswego County with safe, reliable transportation to and from medical appointments both within and outside Oswego County. With the New York State Medicaid System now regionalized, the number to call is new but the dependable service that OCO Transportation Services is known for remains the same.
Medicaid recipients in need of transportation can access OCO transportation services by calling 1-855-733-9395 and requesting OCO as their transportation provider of choice. The new number connects callers with Medical Answering Services, a call center that that now handles Medicaid eligibility requirements, and schedules transportation requests for Medicaid recipients.
While the initial process has changed, director of OCO Transportation Services, Gary Mashaw, said that ability to have OCO as your transportation provider is as easy as ever.
“When Medicaid recipients call the Medical Answering Service they have the opportunity to request the transportation provider of their choice. By choosing OCO, they will be able to receive the same reliable service that they have come to expect. OCO transportation services can accommodate all Medicaid recipients. Whether they are ambulatory, in need of some assistance, or wheelchair bound, we have the vehicles, the staff, and the NYS credentialed drivers to get them safely to and from their medical appointments,” said Mashaw.
