FULTON, NY – If you’re 60 and over and are in need of a ride to the polls on Nov. 3, contact OCO Transportation and make an appointment with OCO’s Call-N-Ride Service by calling 598-1514.
Rides can be provided on Election Day between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
OCO will be taking reservations for rides to polling places in those areas of the county where the Call-N-Ride service is normally available on Tuesdays.
Those areas include the Central Square, Fulton, Hannibal and Phoenix school districts.
“Residents who would like to use the service for that purpose can call us now through Friday, Oct. 30,” said Gary Mashaw, director of OCO Transportation Services. “For passengers who are 60 and over, there is no charge for this service, although we will accept donations.”
For persons under the age of 60, there is a fee of $2.
Call-N-Ride is a low-cost/no-cost transport service that allows the elderly, and persons with visual impairments and other disabilities to live more independently by making arrangements to run errands, visit family or friends, go to medical appointments, and so forth.
