OCO ‘Rodeo Bowl’ Set For April 18

FULTON, NY – It’s time to round up your teams and rustle up some western costumes for this year’s Rodeo Bowl!

Oswego County Opportunities holds its annual bowling tournament fund raiser on April 18 at Lakeview Lanes in Fulton.

“This year’s theme is the OCO Rodeo Bowl. We’re going to celebrate, western-style!” said Diane Cooper-Currier, OCO’s executive director. “The Rodeo Bowl theme should provide lots of inspiration for teams to come up with fun and creative costumes.”

There’ll be bowling buckaroos, line dancing, a corral full of contests, silent auctions, raffles, a mouth-watering chicken BBQ, and lots more!

The OCO Rodeo Bowl takes place from noon – 6 p.m.

Registration opens Feb. 9 for five-person teams, with choice of flights: noon – 2:30 p.m. or 3 – 5:30 p.m. (first come, first served).

Cost per team is $100.

Businesses and individuals are invited to donate door prizes for the raffles and silent auction, and major sponsors are being solicited as well.

OCO holds this fundraiser every spring to help support its programs and services.

This year’s proceeds will focus on assisting people in crisis.

“We’re focusing on the ‘crisis in your backyard’ this year because OCO meets local needs in your neighborhood, on your street, at your workplace, in your school, and so on,” Cooper-Currier said. “Because we’re local, the crisis is in our backyard as well. Let’s work together to make a difference and change lives for the better – right in your own backyard!”

Every level of support makes a difference.

The donated dollars stay local, with more than 90 cents of every dollar directly benefiting those in need.

So, shine up your spurs, saddle up your stick horse and join the fun at the OCO Rodeo Bowl.

You’ll find registration and sponsor information, as well as how to donate a door prize, on www.oco.org, or by calling OCO at 315-598-4717.
