Brandon Auyer finished thirteenth in the Tully Invitational as the Bucs finished fifth out of 13 teams and ninth out of 27 squads.
Coach Dan Greene said, “We ran one of the best races of the season and this was a very tough field that included three state ranked squads.”
Auyer ran a 17:18 over the 3.1 mile course. The next two Buc runners finished in theÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â top twenty-five as Shane Demo, battling an illness finished twentieth. Pat Shafer was twenty-fifth. Mitch Galvin was forty-eighth. Aaron Baxter was the next scorer for Oswego with a fifty-seventh. Also running for the Bucs were Colin Morgan with a sixty-second and Zach McQuaid sixty-third.
In jayvee action Austin DeMott finished eighty-fourth in a huge field comprised of every team in competition. Also running well for the junior Bucs were Tres Bell, Steve Livoti and Billy Crist.
The Bucs will be home on Wednesday against RFA and Corcoran at the Oswego Middle School course with the first race at 5 p.m.
