Ontario Health and Fitness Center Helping Youth Get A Head Start

FULTON, NY  – Joy Zimmerman, director of Ontario Health and Fitness Center and Pulaski Physical Therapy presented a $2,459 check to Oswego County Opportunities Development Coordinator Margaret Barclay in support of the OCO Head Start program.

Zimmerman, who is also director of the Fulton Companies’ Wellness Program and oversees its community service component, along with Amy Dunsmore of the Fulton Companies met with director of OCO Education Services Beth Kazel to learn more about how Head Start benefits area youth and chose Head Start as the beneficiary of this year’s Run 4 a Reason.

The Fulton Companies was one of the sponsors of the annual event.

Located at 3975 Port St. in Pulaski, Ontario Health & Fitness Center offers a range of health and fitness opportunities in an environment that encourages and promotes wellness for both mind and body.

OCO Head Start is available for children age 3 and 4 at no cost to families with incomes at or below federally set guidelines.

Operating throughout the school year, Head Start provides children with comprehensive education, health, and nutrition services.
