For more than forty years, Fulton has had an animal control officer. It was to give the residents someone to call if they were having trouble and needed help with feral cats, raccoons, possums or skunks. That no longer is the case. The current mayor has decided that Fulton no longer has a need for one.
When you call the police to get help with a varmint problem, be prepared to find out you are now on your own. When you get tired of feral cat dumps in your yard, or possums and raccoons digging through your trash before it is picked up, or your dwelling fills up with skunk stench at 1:30 in the morning, please call the mayor, Deana Michaels and make her aware that there is still a need for an animal control officer. We need one now!
