Kevin Rode: It’s Time For Change In The NYS 120th Assembly District

I am writing this letter to the voters of the NYS 120th Assembly District. I have lived in this district almost my entire life. While I am a resident of the Town of Lysander, I have family and friends that live across this district.

I have been fortunate enough to enjoy much of this Assembly District throughout all seasons. From summers of farm work in Lysander and relaxing at Sandy Pond, hunting for big and small game in the fall and winter, ice fishing, bowling in Fulton and Oswego, or enjoying dinner at Rudy’s, we are very fortunate to be able to enjoy many activities within 60 miles of our homes. We have a diverse district where there’s “something for everyone”.

Because of this diversity, I believe we deserve a representative that matches our area. That candidate is Gail Tosh. As I drive across the district, I see many walks of life. Farmers, blue-collar workers, tradesman, engineers, teachers, business owners, the list can go on and on. Our current representative has been in office for 17 years. In these 17 years we have seen many changes, but our area seems to lag behind other areas.

Upstate Republicans will tell you they are “the last line of defense” against total Democratic control. This “defense” has resulted in being shut out of the room where decisions are made at a State level. The residents of the 120th Assembly District deserve a seat at the table, instead of stories of what people have tried to do and what they tried to get for us.

Gail has much more in common with the vast majority of residents in our district. Gail has a small but caring home, raises chickens, works as a substitute teacher, and cares for her family like most of us do day in and day out. From my perspective, Gail lives simply to simply live.??Gail not only has her finger on the pulse of our area, she is ready to work for us.

Gail will fight for everything our citizens deserve and will not disappoint. We deserve elected officials that remember they’re not only working for us, they answer to us. It’s time for a change in the 120th. Don’t vote because of the letters after someone’s name on the ballot, vote for the person who can do the most for most of the people. That choice is simple, it’s Gail Tosh.
