On behalf of NYS Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay and the Stone Soup-Pulaski Planning Committee, United Way of Oswego County extends a sincere thank you to everyone involved in the success of the 4th Annual Stone Soup-Pulaski Luncheon held Thursday, September 18, 2025.
This year’s event was the most successful, to date. We welcomed 172 guests who enjoyed eight different soups, salad, rolls, beverages and desserts. All funds generated from this event and food collected will advance the efforts of several food-relief programs which provide support to our most vulnerable populations in the Pulaski area.
A special thank you goes out to our presenting sponsors: Richard S. Shineman Foundation, DOT Foods in Liverpool, Assemblyman Will Barclay, Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358, ConnextCare, and Stone Creek Golf Club in Oswego.
A huge thank you goes to Artie’s Hometown Diner, Deja Brew, Eis House, 11 North Bar & Grill, Make Sense Shop, Mill House Market, Pond Pit BBQ, and Tailwater Lodge who supported this luncheon by graciously donating their delicious soups.
The event would not be successful without our community volunteers, as well as the employees from National Grid, ConnextCare and students from the Make Sense Shop. Thank you for providing us with a helping hand! Our heartfelt thanks are extended to the Ringgold Fire Dept. for hosting the event, Top’s Market and Dunkin’ in Pulaski, along with C’s Farm Market and Stone Creek Golf Club in Oswego for their generosity of providing items to the menu. I’d also like to thank the Kallet Theater for their continued support in advertising our event.
I am fortunate to have an amazing committee that works hard to make this event come to life. My thanks to Pulaski Mayor Jan Tighe, Margaret Barclay with Oswego Health Foundation, Brittney Jarred from Assemblyman Barclay’s office, Elizabeth Weimer from Oswego County Office For The Aging/NY Connects, and Alexis Longley, Ashlee Krebs and Ashleigh Spink, each from National Grid.
We are very grateful to the community members who came out to support this event and provided non-perishable food donations. In all, over $3,300 in proceeds and $1,700 worth of food was collected and shared with local food-relief programs. Your willingness to give back to the community is admirable and appreciated. Individually and collectively, you helped raise awareness of food insecurity while providing much needed relief to families and individuals in need in the Pulaski area.
We look forward to returning again next September.
Appreciatively,
Patrick Dewine
