Oswego Alliance Church to host Community “Make a Craft” day, Saturday, October 24

Come and make quality crafts that can be used as Christmas gifts for loved ones or kept as gifts for yourself. The community annual “Make a Craft” day will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oswego Alliance Church. The crafts have been designed for adults and children age 7 and older. The event is open to the community. Each craft has been designed to take approximately one hour to complete. You may come and go at any time and make as many crafts as you have time for. Crafters will also receive a set of directions so that they will be able to make more at home.

Some popular crafts making a return this year are a glass block present, a stuffed snowman decoration or gift and microwaveable corn bags. Some of the new crafts offered this year are Christmas stockings, gifts-in-a-jar, and rice filled therapy masks.

There will be drawings for many door prizes, one from each craft table. We also have a very special drawing for a beautiful quilt that was made by one of the ladies.

Refreshments are available and lunch can be purchased.

For more information contact the church office at 342-5493. The church is located on Thompson Road, just off State Route 104 near the college.
