We also adopt needy families at Christmas and provide gifts and food.

Each year we award a scholarship to a local female graduate of Oswego High School.

Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at Vona’s in Oswego at 6 p.m. with the exception of July and August.

We are encouraging new membership now.

If interested in joining this group of women please reach out to Pat Cole, membership committee, at 342-2455.

Our Collect, said before each meal and meeting: Keep us O God from pettiness; let us be large in thought, word, deed. Let us be done with fault finding and leave off all self seeking; May we put away all pettiness and meet each other face to face without self pity and without prejudice. May we never be hasty in judgment and always be generous. Let us take time for all things; make us grow calm, serene, gentle. Teach us to put into action our better selves, straight forward and unafraid. May we realize it is the little things that create differences, And O Lord God, let us remember to be kind.
