OSWEGO, NY – Six new inductees will enter the Oswego High School Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 1.
The “Class of 2011” has made substantial contributions to Oswego High School athletics.
Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist said, “I am proud to announce this year’s Hall of Fame members. Acceptance into the Oswego High School Hall of Fame is something very special and this year’s class once again focuses on major contributors to the legacy and tradition of OHS athletics.”
Continuing Crist noted, “This year’s class includes one of the best softball players in the history of OHS Bobbi Jo Louis, multi sport letter winner Daniel Gould, standout athlete Wally Brown, track and field star athletes Kim Schneider and Denise Sawyer as well as the 1941 Oswego High School football team. I would like to welcome all of the new members and look forward to the induction ceremony on Oct. 1.”
The official induction ceremony will be at 7 p.m. in the Oswego High School Dining Center.
However, all of the inductees will be recognized at halftime of the Oswego-Corcoran football game at 3 p.m. the first Saturday afternoon of October.
Reservations can be made by contacting Oswego Athletic Director Scott Sugar at 341-2019 or email [email protected]
Sugar said, “This would not be possible without the gracious and generous support of the Buccaneer Boosters. The boosters have long supported what we do here in Oswego and they brought this dream of creating a Hall of Fame to fruition. Their continued support provides recognition for many deserving graduates, coaches and contributors.”
