NEW HAVEN – The Oswego Children’s Theater’s latest production, E.B. White’s classic story “Charlotte’s Web,” is set to open July 29 at the performance space at New Haven Congregational Church.
“Charlotte’s Web” gently tells the tale of a young pig that is saved from the slaughterhouse by mean’s of an ingenious spider.
The Oswego Children’s Theater’s production of the story is full of memorable characters both animal and human, and features colorful costumes, a large cast of area children, and a comparatively short run time, all calculated to make the show enjoyable for children of all ages.
“Charlotte’s Web” is directed by Gary Smith and Tom Nunez, assisted by Samantha McAuslin as the stage manager.
Kelly Mosher and Wayne Mosher Jr., will act as the show’s producers.
The play was adapted for the stage by Joseph Robinette, and is presented by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing Inc.
The production is slated to be performed on July 29 at 7:30 p.m. and July 30 and 31 at 2 p.m. at the New Haven Congregational Church, Route 104 East between Oswego and Mexico.
A second weekend of performances will be presented on August 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. and August 7 at 2 p.m. at the Oswego Youth Center at Fort Ontario Park in Oswego.
