OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego City Band will be performing an array of symphonic works including Copland’s beloved Variations of a Shaker Melody and Gershwin’s An American in Paris.
Popular tunes like Berlin’s Alexander Ragtime Band and Leroy Anderson’s Bugler’s Holiday, featuring trumpeters Joe Hennebery, Ron Stewart, and Redd Swindells, will also delight the audience.
Additionally, an exhilarating arrangement from the Hollywood film score Pirates of the Caribbean and selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Broadway classics will provide contrast to traditional marches by Henry Fillmore and John Philip Sousa.
Ralph Vaughn Williams’ quintessential English Folk Son Suite and an iconic arrangement of the traditional Shenandoah will round out this exciting performance.
